He said: "I’ve always gone with Mbappe before, but there’s something about Haaland. He looks mad, in a good way. You just think he doesn’t care about anything but goals. I’d go for Haaland. I think Man City should go for him too."

    DRAW RECAP

Here's the quarter-final draw for you...

    • Man City vs Borussia Dortmund
    • Porto vs Chelsea
    • Bayern Munich vs PSG
    • Real Madrid vs Liverpool

    Then the semi-finals...

    • Real Madrid/Liverpool vs Porto/Chelsea

    AND NOW THE FINAL...

Whoever emerges from the first semi-final, out of Bayern, PSG, Man City or Borussia Dortmund, will be the "home" team in the final. That's just for administrative purposes.

REAL MADRID OR LIVERPOOL VS PORTO OR CHELSEA

    A Liverpool-Chelsea Champions League semi-final on the cards? That's very 2000s.

BAYERN OR PSG VS MAN CITY OR BORUSSIA DORTMUND

    Ooooh, that's tasty whatever happens.

    NOW THE SEMIS...

We've got our four ties, so who will be playing one another in the semi-finals?

    REAL MADRID VS LIVERPOOL

Wow. What a match-up for Jurgen Klopp's boys. Another final repeat here, after Real Madrid's 3-1 win in 2018.

    BAYERN MUNICH VS PSG

A repeat of last year's final!

    PORTO VS CHELSEA

    MAN CITY VS BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Erling Haaland is coming to England - to face the team where his father played for three years from 2000 to 2003.

    HERE WE GO!

Mr Altintop, who I didn't realise spent a year with Real Madrid in 2011/12, gets us underway.

    GOOD MEMORIES?

It was 26 years ago that Liverpool shocked the footballing world to pull back from 3-0 down at half-time and beat AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

The ground has since been renovated and had been due to host last year’s Champions League final, but this was instead moved to the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon due to Covid-19 rescheduling.

Despite their Premier League struggles, With Liverpool still in the draw there’ll be a few hopes of another famous night in eastern Europe for the Reds this season.

    WHEN ARE THE GAMES?

No imminent draw. We're busy talking to Hamit Altintop, who will be helping to conduct the draw. I wonder if they've got Diego Tristan waiting backstage too?

Anyway. The first legs of the quarter-finals will be held on April 6 and 7, with the return legs on April 13 and 14.

The semi-final first legs will be on April 27 and 28, and the second legs on May 4 and 5, ahead of the final on May 29 in Istanbul.
