Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Arteta reveals why Gunners failed to win
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has blamed fatigue for their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Thursday night.
The Gunners had won three straight matches in the Premier League, but could find no pick up a fourth against Palace.
Arteta’s men dominated possession in the second half, but failed to give goalkeeper Vicente Guaita much to do.
“We created a lot of situations against the low block but lacked the final quality. We probably didn’t do enough to win the game,” Arteta told Sky Sports after the game.
“We are playing a lot of games and you can see fatigue is paying a price, many players aren’t fresh.
“We had a period that was fatigue-related where we kept giving the ball away. We lacked the quality in the final third to win the game.”

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has insisted that his team’s exit from the Spanish Supercopa at the hands of Athletic Bilbao is not “a failure.”
The holders crashed out on Thursday night after losing 2-1 to Athletic Bilbao in the second semi-final.
Raul Garcia scored a first-half to give the Basque club the lead, before Karim Benzema pulled one back after the break.
Marco Asensio came close to scoring, but was denied twice by the woodwork.
Athletic will now face Barcelona in the final on Sunday in Seville.
“It’s not a failure. A failure is not to give your all on the pitch and not to try.
“The team tried but we couldn’t get the equaliser. Life is like this. You can’t always win,” Zidane told reporters after the game.

Didier Drogba’s marriage of 10 years crashes
Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba’s marriage to his wife, Lalla Diakite has crashed.
He announced his separation from his wife after twenty years on Instagram.
This comes after video of Drogba with another woman went viral on social media recently.
In the footage, which a representative claimed had been hacked, the ex-Ivory Coast striker was seen bare-chested in bed with the near-naked young woman, sparking headlines in his home country.
This forced Drogba to make an official statement revealing that he and his wife separated in 2020, though a tough decision for them.
His post read: “I don’t normally discuss my personal life but due to false media speculation today I will confirm sadly that after 20years together Lala and I made the difficult decision to separate last year.”
The Chelsea legend, however, mentioned that he still has. Cordial relationship with his ex-wife for the sake of their children.
“We remain very close and our main focus has been our children and protecting them and the family’s privacy,” his post added.
Drogba got married to Lalla in 2011 and have three children together.
